Durust Daam: An Android App to Control Illegal Profiteering
Durust Daam is a free Android app developed by National IT Board Government Of Pakistan to control illegal profiteering by shopkeepers in the federal capital. It is the official app of Islamabad Capital Territory Administration, designed to facilitate the citizens of Islamabad. The app has a web-based CMS to input the latest rates, and complaints redressal is through Pakistan Citizen Portal App as per directives of Prime Minister’s Office.
The app has a SAAS (Software as a Service) Platform Architecture. Users can get the latest and old rates of commodities and rates based on different administrative sectors of the Federal Capital. This app provides rates against four main categories, Essential Commodities, Fruits, Vegetables, and Poultry Items. On clicking a single item, one can find the detailed comparison of prices on different dates to find out the trend in product price. There is a share option to share the price of a single commodity through various apps. Users can get prices with respect to date after selecting a date from the calendar.
